Of the children you have babysat, what is the oldest and youngest? What age range would you most like to take care of?

The youngest children I have babysat were about 3 years old and the oldest were 10 or 11. I have never babysat childen younger than 3 years, and I must say that my favourite age is from 3 to 5. Some years ago I took care of a group of children and they were between 3 and 4 years old. Many of the children were from other countries and they didn't speak much Danish yet, so ir was very interesting and challenging to take care of them and to teach them new words in Danish. I don't babysit at the moment, but I miss it.

Ah I had an experience like that too. I was taking care of a 3-year old girl recently adopted from Armenia for a while for the full duration of her parents' work days. A three year old talks to well to begin with but then there were little bits of English and little bits of Armenian and I don't think she realized that they were different things. She was so cute though. And they taught a few basic Armenian words so I would know when she needed to go to the bathroom and things like that. It was crazy to watch how fast she learned it though!

The oldest i believe would be ten. My sister and her friends. I baby sat them sometimes and they are either ten or younger. The youngest I have ever babysat would be my sisters son. He was around three months when I first babysat him.

The oldest ive babysat would be fourteen and the youngest 3 months. I also now have a nine month old and i have to say its easier to take care of older children. My daughter is at the stage where she puts everything in her mouth, climbs up and down the stares, unplugs the tv, you know, normal baby things. And even when they get to be 5 years old, they go outside and the next thing you know theyre climbing over the fence, getting into things they shouldnt. But once they get to be teenagers at least you can tell them no and they understand and listen, for the most part. When my sisters son was 3 months old all he would do is cry. Definately like caring for older children better.

My kids is still too young but before I already take care of my niece, they age one to seven years old. I like taking good care of babies and children. They are so cute and I feel so happy when there are children around even sometimes taking good care of them are so tedious because most of the kids are naught but the important is they can make me happy. I feel so glad every time I hear the babies first word that they learn.
