how to care for turtle eggs?

Our red slider turtle laid eggs a few weeks ago. I decided to leave the egg together with its parents (turtle) but after a few days, the egg was already eaten by them. So i immediately took the other eggs and placed them in a small plastic container. Unfortunately, all the eggs turned out to be hard boiled eggs..:( can you please share your knowledge on how to take care of turtle eggs? thanks..Ü

I seem to remember that turtles just bury their eggs in the sand and allow the sun to incubate them. Eggs are very delicious not just for people but other animals as well, including turtles, it appears.
