How long were you in labor for? My first I was in labor for 6 1/2 hours, and my little one was 35 minutes.

Well. Psh.. I was in labor for 8 hours with NO meds. We were waiting on the epidural lady to show up and the baby went into distress. They didn't have time to do anything so I was rushed into an emergency c-section. So I got 8 hours labor no meds AND a c-section. Yay for me. :( I'm STILL mad at them hahahaha.

It all depends on the pregnancy. Each one is different. Some babies are born quickly, while others, it seems, want to wait for a while.

I couldn't imagine being in labor for 32 plus hours. How did you handle it? I would've said "Knock me out or something!" Ha ha ha, thanks for responding!

My first labor was about 7 hours, the second was about 5 hours and the third... well I don't really know! LOL I was having contractions that I didn't realize, and I was laughing through them up until 8cm!! My doctor and my husband were watching the end of The Apprentice when I felt her head and shouted... "Something's coming! She's coming!" He barely had time to call a nurse and get down there and her head was coming out! Too bad all my labors weren't like that one :)

Wow. That's amazing. I knew someone, and her doctor told her that if she sneezed her baby was coming out. Thanks for responding!

My first time, I was in labor for 13 hours and then all of a sudden I stopped dilating at 7 cm and was on pitocin, but it never started up again so I finally had to have a c-section because they said that was the only way he would make it. And the second time I had to have another because of the first one, but I know I was having contractions all day and they didn't believe me, up until I was about to leave the hospital and they checked and I was more dilated than I had been 30 minutes before. So we ended up having an emergency c-section. Any WOW, I can't believe people actually have 35 minute labors! It doesn't even seem possible to me.. LOL

The reason my actual hard labor was only 35 minutes was because I had gone a few days before to have the labor stopped. When I had my youngest she was 2 months premature. She only weighed 3 lbs. 6.4 ounces, and was 16 1/2 inches long. She tried to be born 3 times before she actually was, and when she WAS born, she said "There's no stopping me now!" She was even born IN the ambulance. Talk about a story!

Well, my water broke at 8 PM. I never went into labor on my own even with my water breaking, so I was induced at midnight. I still didn't have any contractions until 2 AM. After I started having contractions to the time my daughter was born (7:39 AM) It was about 4 1/2 hours.
