Well in your computer where you cannot use your computer at all to get rid of it? My laptop is that bad at the moment that I can't use it coz as soon as you turn it on, the virus loads up & won't load anything else. This will be my last post for a bit until I get my computer fixed - I'm at my dad's now but will be going home tomorrow & I live 1.5 hours away.

I had an experienced with a really nasty virus. It was really difficult and it slowed down my computer. I had my computer reformatted. Now I am really careful with what I open and I always scan any file before opening them. I have also shifted to another anti-virus. It has been a year already and I have not encountered any problems so far.

I've had one of them too years ago...but this one I had recently prevented me from accessing my computer - as soon as I turned it on, the virus would come up & wouldn't let me through :(

It's bad when it happens...at the time, I was trying to reload my anti virus when this happened but because of my very slow broadband, I couldn't download it.

Hey, Yea I one time had a virus on my computer, and I just couldn't get rid of it, so what I had to do was reformat the whole computer, and have it start from scratch. It wasn't easy, and it wasn't a good feeling either. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

The same thing happened with me last time when I visit at China. Just connect to network on hotel, There is warning to shutdown on PC. But it just fine after release on network. My antivirus can't able to detect those mysterious virus. At that time, I am buying CA internet security. Finally, it catch some network virus. Good thing, Hotel manager ask me for help to clean those virus inside their server and network. Together with their IT people that we are clean a lot of virus. Mostly they are network virus and stored on the server. I would suggest to disconnect from network and buying a good antivirus or internet security. After installing antivirus, let's update and scan...

Try to start your PC with the Windows XP/Vista/98 CD, whichever is applicable, then after taht try to remove the virus with an Anti-Virus Program such as Avira or Nortan, otherwise it is best to format the PC and re-install all the software, the only problem then is that you wioll loose all data, if you did not backup your PC regularly
