Okay I know that this book is a little dated just a little, but everytime I read it I find a fascination with the book. I don't know if anyone shares in that fascination, but I was just wondering hence this discussion. I really did like Winter which is the main character. She showed how people could get accustomed to living a certain lifestyle, but the only problem I had with her towards the end was when she had all of this money but she still refused to do the right thing with it. I wanted her to get a job and she could have lived a better than what she was doing. It is so crazy that her sister will end up doing the same thing with her life. HAs anyone else read the book?

Yes...I've read this book many times, and I believe i do share the same fascination! sista souljah really put her foot in that book! But...there were so many times in the book where I wished Winter would just do the right thing! I know if it were me, I would have been stacked my money and ran. But...as sad as it is...that's a true story for some people...in one aspect or another. Have you read "Midnight: a gangster love story" yet? I haven't, but I will in the near future
