how protect the system safe

i cann't able to protect system.
because, i download all games and other software, it caused virus in my system
how we know the website is safe or not

well you cant be sure but when you download game and software i suggest you to use Torrent and chek the comment of other people that downloaded it before you to see if the file contain virus.
and to help you can use Spybot search and destroy whit Adaware, and Eusing free registry clean up.
Scan your computer often with those and you should be ok
