I love traveling with my hubby and I've promised myself to go for a holiday for at least 3 days, either local or oversea, each year. We have been to Australia for 9 days this year; Pulau Redang, Malaysia for 3 days in 2008; Kuantan, Malaysia for 3 days in 2007; China for 8 days in 2006. Frequent holiday makes life happier! How about you? How many days you spent on traveling each year? Where have you been?

Before we got our little boy, we make it a must to go travel once a year, normally at the end of the year. We've been to Japan, Australia, Europe, China, HongKong and the list is endless. Now that we have our little one, we have to take into consideration the journey time and all, so, we dont travel as often. We are glad that we've travelled the world before we settle into family life. Otherwise, I'll always feel like I am left out when friends talked about travelling.

travel all you can before you get pregnant. remember, the first trimester of your pregnancy is crucial, so stay calm and dont hop around. Do what you want now before you grow something in your tummy! :)

Wow, I hope I could travel as much places as you! I had only been to Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Australia. We are planning to had our baby within these months. People say once you have your own kids, you'll not able to travel much. Even though you have a babysitter to look after the kids will you are on vacation, you'll still worrying about them. I think I'll be ok if my kids have my in-laws care!

This year I went to South Africa for 15 days. I took my toddler son and was pregnant at that time. In 2008 I took my toddler son to the Baltic Countries for 14 days. My son's first trip was to Portugal in 2007. We traveled for 14 days. In 2006 I had 15 days in Bulgaria and Romania as well as 16 days in Central America. An expensive trip I did in 2005 was 15 days in the Maldives. An even nicer trip I did in 2004 that was 14 days in the Seychelles. In 2003 I had 17 days in Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia. I also did a trip of 4 days to Belgium and at the end of 2003 I had a 14 night trip to Turkey. I went away for months to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands from 2001 to 2002. In 200o I went to Hong Kong, Western Australia and Singapore for two months. I love traveling and would say it is my top hobby.

It's always goog to take a break from working. The average vacation for Americans is 5-7 days. Other countries seem to take more days. We met a family this year who had been on vacation/holiday for 6 weeks and was just returning to Australia. If you have the money this is a good thing to do. It keeps you from being burnt out on things at home. If you don't have the finances to go away, it's good to take a break anyway. "Stay-cations" are becoming popular in the USA. This is a break from work, but staying in your own community to do fun things with your family. Some people will go to a local festival, or a local historical site, or take in a ballet or musical. Even just making a picnic and going to your own back garden is fun. If you have children they will probably be just as happy going to the local park as they would traveling for a long distance. If they see you are excited about local activities they will be too.

Hi wecindy, my husband and I love travelling as well. We usually would go for a five days holiday after 4 months or so. We mostly spend our holidays either in a famous mountain resort or at the beach resort which is 90 minutes drive. We would have foreign country vacation once in a year. We had been to China four times. The country we had visited more than 10 times is the Singapore. I have been to Taiwan, Hongkong and several other countries in South East Asia as well. The longest journey I had experienced was having 10 days unforgettable vacations there Happy posting

That's wonderful. You have been to very nice places. I have been to the Far East too, but not on holidays, on my business trips. I do go on holidays to places abroad, two weeks a year. I have been to Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and also to places in my country.

It's great to have such a long vacations! We can't spend so much time on vacation as hubby's on his own business, my in-laws helping out while we are away.

My family does not have much money to spend on going over seas for vacationing. We are lucky to get to go somewhere local. I wish we had more time to spend together, but it just is not that way. We do our best to go to the beach together or to the fair when it is in town.

Actually it's still good no matter traveling abroad or local, as long as going with our family members. Just do our best to keep our bond of relation tight! :)
