Valley Ranch area versus Las Colinas area - Irving, Texas

Anyone here that lives or has lived in Irving, Texas in one of these areas. I lived in the Las Colinas area for several years and really liked it. It was a nice area, close to where I worked and was near major roads. Later on I lived in the Valley Ranch area. In fact we were right across the street from the Dallas Cowboys Training camp. This did not thrill me per say because I am not a sports fan at all. But anytime I mentioned this to someone they thought it was cool. So if you have lived in these places, what did you think of it?
