Pacquiao have set a record in boxing, winning 4 linneal champioships. The only one in history. If he fights Cotto on 147 lbs, we will be making a step towards solidifying his position as the greatest boxer in history. If they fight in a 145 lbs catch weight, there will be a little difference. Cotto fought Clottey at 147 lbs but weighed in only 146 lbs during the weigh in. 145 lbs will not make a difference for cotto.

147 is only a limit. 145 is still a welterweight. I think it is only fair for Pacquiao and Cotto to meet at 145 and battle for the championship belt. He doesn't need to fight him at 147, 145 is their even ground.

Cotto is bigger than Pacquiao but that can also be a disadvantage because Pacman can use his tremendous speed and footwork against Cotto. And besides, Cotto wasn't able to prove that he is a dominant fighter in his last fight.

I think cotto is slower compare to other fighters face paquiao. Even 147 paquiao will beat cotto..some says Oscar is to old and dehydrated when he fought, I dont think so, Beside Paquiao is to fast and strong against oscar..PAquiao cotto fight 8-9 rounds is enough!!!Mark my word

i don't think it matters what weight pacquiao fights at. he's probably the best around right now. the real match i am looking for is pacquiao vs mayweather. but let's not underrate cotto.

After watching the Clottey-Cotto fight,i could see a lot of holes in Cottos game that Pacquiao could take advantage of. Pacquiao is way to fast for Cotto and i honestly believe has more power than him. I dont think the weight would be an issue but i think that the Pacquiao camp is trying to squeeze out every bit of advantage they can get by asking Cotto to fight at 144 or 145. The only problem I see with team Pacquiao asking Cotto to lose so much weight is people might see him as a guy who drains out his opponent even before the fight begins. But in my opinion, I think Pacquiao can win at 147...
