Starbucks is just too expensive!

From internet shoppes that offer coffee to customers who hang out by the hour, the trend in my country had shifted now to classy coffee shoppes where one can bring in a laptop and just hang out right there with friends by the hour. Starbucks, for one can be found at every strategic spot where students, young professionals, corporate heads, and even older folks who just want to linger the time away converge. How relaxing the venue could get, especially if the coffee is made to one;s liking. Way too expensive for me, though. Makes me feel guilty to spend such money for a mug of coffee. What do you think? Would you have your coffee at Starbucks?

I have found that when I visit the USA Starbucks and other similar places are much cheaper than their coffee shops where I live in the UK. They are much more expensive here.

I've worked at Starbucks, 3 different stores for a total of about a year and a half. I would not buy Starbucks coffee. For one, the quality of their coffee isn't as good as they say it is. They talk about how they roast darker than most companies because it pulls out the full flavor of the bean, and that's why their coffee is so expensive. It's true- the longer roasting process does produce a more full-flavored coffee, but one that most consumers don't particularly like. Apart from the quality of the coffee itself, Starbucks (or any other $4 latte) isn't worth paying for, because the ingredients really aren't all that special and it'd be so easy to do at home. All you have to do is get yourself a decent countertop espresso maker with a steam wand. It might seem pricey at first, but in the long run it's so much cheaper than Starbucks everyday! And instead of hanging out with your friends at expensive Starbucks, you can invite them over to your own personal coffee shop at home.

Hi thyst07, that information needs to be disseminated to the young people hanging out at that expensive coffee shop. They are being robbed not only of their money but also of their health. I will tell my children and hopefully the ripples reach the patrons. Thank you so much for telling.
