Wikipedia as first result

So often when you look something up, especially if it's a person or event or something like that, the first search result is Wikipedia. What do you think of this? Do you think it's helpful because that will probably tell you wanted to know? Or does it annoy you, because if you wanted Wikipedia you would have looked it up there? What do you think?
