Well, you've got it. No matter as Google is indeed coming up with a new operating system called Chrome OS and its' competitor Microsoft is not going to be amused. Set to be launched next year, Chrome OS a free competitor to Microsoft's Windows operating system, though will be targeted at Netbooks, a class of small and inexpensive computers; I am just not so sure if this will eventually find its way to the full powered notebooks and personal computers. There is really quite a lot of talk and I can see a very different outlook in the OS scene. It will really be great to have another OS where computer end users will have a choice from the mundane Microsoft Windows and it will really be great for those anti Microsoft users out there. Yet there will be questions like I have out there, if the Chrome will be better than Microsoft's Windows or Linux. Where will their OS be found superior and for the many to like it at the end of the day? I just can't wait to see it when it comes into the market and hope that they will really give Microsoft a run for its money. Ref: http://news.cnet.com/8301-19882_3-10283555-250.html

Hey, Thanks for the information you have provided, it contains some good stuff. But personally I don't think that it will be able to take on Microsoft that well, mainly because Microsoft Windows has been around for quite some time. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

EliteUser, I'd like to agree with you but I just felt that Chrome OS is just timely for MS to pull up their socks. I mean even history itself had shown that they have been around for sometime they are not without misgivings and surprisingly it is not the favorite OS among the endusers. Also, the numerous Anti Trust lawsuits that it had gone through is just another consideration here. I don't know if being around for some time can be taken as a validating issue, I'd just hold my reservations and think otherwise here!
