To be a great or even a good cricketer you have to be clever and have common sense, cricket is about brains. and how you apply your knowledge into performance and skills. examples are sachin, darvid, kallis, ponting, lara ect... However you dont really need any brains to be a good or great footballer. for example wayne rooney and david beckham are some of the thickest people you will ever meet, showing cricket is a lot harder sport to understand and to be successful at. The skill level in cricket is a lot harder. You sometimes wonder how someone as small as the legendary sachin can continually Pull and hook 95 mile per hour bowlers like shioab and brett lee. Cricker is a lot more dangerous than football, and the skill level is a lot higher, anyone can kick a ball, however very few can hit a 90 mile per hour ball. So I can't understand why still people are so crazy about football above cricket - especially in europe. :(

Well if consider the fact that he uses a flat bat it not that hard. It also dose not take alot common sense to hit the ball. If you have good eyes and fast hands you can hit the ball.

Yeh football is the number 1 sport in the world. T20 cricket is got a new audience into the game but it has only been in countries where cricket is usually played. Football is the main game in Europe, South America, some parts of Asia and even the USA. It will be tough attracting these people to cricket. T20 will give some competition, but not enough to make cricket no 1 at least in the next 100 years.

Football is a game that many countries enjoy, promote and play for. But when it comes to cricket it is localised to a few countries only . The popularity is massive for football with millions playing the game. Twenty 20 games are the short version of cricket ,which is much like football ,where the games spans only a few hours or so. In this era of fast foods and express trains and buses ,people like to do things faster and in a shorter duration. In this fast life , spending a day on a game of cricket is becoming less desirable. But for a T20 game this is not so. Less time, more excitement. But the game is not very popular in many countries. But football has representations from many countries in all over the globe. To grow to such popularity is long way ahead for cricket. So according to me Football is the most watched and played game. It will reamain so for years, no doubt about it.

I could think of a million things I would rather do than watch cricket. I don`t thing that it will every replace football or the majority of other sports.

Yes football is still number and will be number one for long period.. Its does not have any confidence.. football is playing by almost all counties of the world.. So its number one global sport.. Welll cricket is just played betweed not more then 25 counties.. now popularity is increasing.. but it takes lof of time.. say 20 years.. Mostly cricket played by 7-8 countires only.. other then other countirs jus playing for fun.. So for cricket long way to.. I am die hard fan of cricket.. I watch each and every interenationl game.. if i get the time..
