We are prepairing to buy a new house, friends suggest me the Do's and Dont's

Hi friends,
Real estate is at real low now and thus we are prepairing to buy a new house for us. A lot of my friends are in building construction and thus i have some options to choose. Yet as it will be my first time to purchase something that big and expensive, I would love to get some suggestions.
So friends please share your experiances and views.

At this time, all I can do is wish you the best and congrats on the new home!
The only thing that I will offer is to make sure that you get a fixed rate. Don't get fooled into buying on a flexible plan. How exciting! There are a lot of options so take your time and look at everything.

Hi PS,
Yes i know what u mean to say. As there is not much finance available in the market there is every chance of getting fooled by the builders.
Thus it is wise to take time and do things carefully. Thanks for responding.
