How old are you? If your young it may be just growing pains, I used to get them in my elbows really bad right up until I turned about 18/19. Otherwise might go to the doctor, could be athritis, could be a virus or something like that.

I am now 42..so I dont qualify for the growing pains.. I do think though I may have the arthritis since my mom has it really bad. and I have spent many hours in the cold damp places in my younger years.. I really don't want to go to a doctor and have him tell me something I already know and prescribe me pills that will shut down my kindeys;)|+

If you really don't want to go see a regular MD a chiropractor could probably help you out a lot.

You know i get that alot with the cold weather..Maybe that is what it is. When i get it i lather on the aspercream.. it works.. And it doesn't smell bad either.. no smell at all. I did go to the dr though and i have lots of wear and tear on some of my bones from the job that i had.. Plus a touch of arthritis..he told me to take tylenol for the pain and aspercream.. see if that works.. Hope it does.. Good luck.+

I heard of aspercreme and will try this out. I think it may be due to cold weather too..I don't like to take too much pain medications unless I have too..Had a friend who took tylenol and they said her kidney went bad because of it.+

I can tell you for a fact that certo with juice does work. I am full fo arthritis and I use that with grape, pineapple or some berry juice. Certo is kind of bitter so it is better if the juice is kind of sweet. I usually use juicyjuice. But certo does work and right away too. I don't like doctors and expensive pills either. Good luck to you.

Concoctions with grape juice and pectin-containing gelatin powders, such as Certo, have become popular home remedies for those seeking arthritis pain relief. Available in any supermarket, these products are used for thickening jam. Some claim the Certo type remedies are helpful at reducing painful joints. i got that from a site coz i read u dunt like doctors but i yet suggest u meet a doc for confirmation of ur condition http://www.geocities.com/homeremedysecrets/Arthritis.html check this site hope it helps u...take care...

it might. usually the pains attack during cold weather, or after ingestion of certain foods like beans, legumes, peanuts. there are ointments to lessen the pain, but i think professional medical attention should be sought.

It does sound like arthur's been bothering you. You might want to take something over the counter like ALEVE a couple times a day but it's best to go have it checked out by your doctor or a doctor who is a pain specialist.

You could try to soak in a hot tub with a couple cups of espon salt. It seems to do wonders for so many ppl. Let me know if you try this and if it works for you.

Cod liver oil, Omega 3 or shark oil all help with arthritis and joint pains. If this is really bothering you, see your doctor. Cod liver oil is also good for your skin, hair and fingernails, your digestion system and just for your whole body. Take it on an empty stomach for best results. My sister had severe arthritis in her fingers and knees. After she started taking cod liver oil every day, it got much better and with some excercise, she is now completely rid of the pain.

I would say it would be a good idea to contact your doctor. There are just so many things it could be. Everything in your body reacts to it's surroundings, so to speak. If something is "off" or "out of whack," then the other parts compensate for it, and in turn don't feel right. I hope that made some sort of sense! LOL

If you are determined not to go to a doctor, and the pain has gradually gotten worse over time, it is probably arthritis. Many people seem to get relief from Advil or similar products. I use Biofreeze as a rub-on. I purchased it at a physical therapist, but you can find it online, too. It is not cheap, but works very well. It does help to use a heating pad. For hands, you can dip them in hot wax and that is a big help. You should be able to find instructions for that online. I used a crockpot once for that, but it can get too hot.
