IN GMAIL i want to read the deleted mail i also delete in trash.any ways to see that mails.pls help me

My hubby worked in intranet for a major company not too long ago. He says there is not a way to retrieve the email in Gmail. To do so, even in theory, you would have to have access to the server that held the deleted email message and use deleted-file-recovery software. SORRY..
