Money or the comfortability?

When you work for a place, or a particular employer, what is more important to you? The money, or whether you are comfortable with the job or not? Majority of us, are aiming for the money we can earn from the job we do, but that doesn't mean we are always happy with the job we do everyday. Maybe it is with co - worker, or the boss, people sometimes just couldn't get along. For some people, as long as they are happy and comfortable with what they are doing, even though the money is less, they are willing to stay. So, what are you? Money or the work environment?

Hello, I prefer to be comfortable at my work place more than what I earn there. Once you have a rapport with your colleagues you are able to work more smoothly and friendly, moreover they will be ready to give you a helping hand when you are down with any official problems, at the same time your mind does not hesitate to help them in return also. If there are grudges between the co-workers it is totally an unpleasant atmosphere to work, you cannot concentrate on the work you are doing and finally end up difference of opinions with your boss. After all we work to gain peace of mind what big fun in being unhappy in our workplace. So you can imagine comfort is the important criteria in the work place. Money cannot just buy everything in life you see.

I believe that it depend on if you're comfortable with the job. If you are not then you will not be happy with what you do and in the long run you will be working there for a long time so you might as well be comfortable than expect the money. For example, I worked at a restaurant and I absolutely love this restaurant so the hours fly by so quickly and I am really glad that I get paid for something I love to do.

Money is important it is a necessity of our modern day life. However to me it is not more important than values that are ethical or moral or jeprodize health or family. Nor is it worth being unhappy about or not comfortable with your co-workers, boss or work enviroment. An unhappy worker is not as productive as one that is happy with where he or she works. So I would rather work for a little bit less income at a job I am happy and comfortable with and make the adjustaments financially needed than to work in a job that is uncomfortable in any way.

I was more interested in getting the money so that i could pay school and rent but I have come to realize that I was too wrong. For me now is much more important to have a job where I can work comfortably and feel welcomed rather than making tons of money and hating getting up in the morning to go to work or feeling so uncomfortable at work that you look at the clock every 5 minutes. I am not saying that the pay is not important but at this points I would rather aim for a comfortable working environment. It would be great to find both of them at the same place.

Well Im a SAHM but I can answer for my husband. Confort is the deciding factor for him. He only gets 9 an hour where he works but it is outside, year around (we live in the snow belt) but he loves outside work. He tried factory work for higher pay and was miserable.

For me, currently, I'm more looking toward money. I need money so that I can pay for so many things. I'm still young and I think I can handle stress, and after I become more stable, I will aim for comfort ability. It hate to work under the condition that I don't like, but as I have mentioned, my life needs money, and so I have to bear with it.

Hello Clorissa. I have been fortunate to enjoy all the places I have worked. The bosses were nice, and so were all but few of the employees. I work from my home now, and I am my own "boss." I enjoy what I do very much. But I do know some people are stuck where they do not like to be because they have to earn the money it pays to support themselves or their family. Karen

I'd be lying if I posted in this thread and said money wasn't important. It's very important. It's so important, I'd go as far as to say it's a requirement when looking for a job. No way am I going to put in hours for free. I'm scanning my mental Rolodex looking for the word that describes what that is. I think it's an internship. Yeah, that would suck. If I'm not comfortable, I can't do my job well. it's basic mathematics really. Productivity, plus anxiety, minus composure, equals I'll be let go within a few months. If the pay is moderate and I enjoy the working environment, It's all gravy.

For me its a little bit of both. I have to be able to make enough money to support my family, but at the same time i dont want a job that is so stressful i cant handle it. That would make you an angry person, and then youd go home and take it out on your family unintentionally, and then the next thing you know youve got no family, but youve still got your job that you cant stand! So i think in a perfect world, we could get a job that we like and made good money, but thats in most of our dreams right? lol.
