C++ is really confusing and im starting to get bored with it i mean im starting to ask myself is there even a point like all this tutorials got me learning how to make is like calculator programs and stuff. If anyone here has acutually learned c++ does it get more interesting. Also if i learned if could i do it as a job. I also started learning java. So which is better java or c++. Should i even attempt to learn either i mean cause i had this whole big plan that oh im gonna make games but um well that plan is kinda being shot down.

I used java as my first programming language and that was cool. Later, i was taught pascal in school and currently c++. One thing i hate about c++ is that it has various standards and error prone.

Hey, That is really good, not many people can just be bored and then just 'learn' C++. I don't really know any programming languages, I just know some really basic HTML/CSS, I wish I knew PHP or something really complex. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I agree that C++ is really confusing. I've even heard a joke saying that 'if you want to debug a C++ program, you better rewrite it.' Thus, if it is the first time you learn a programming language, I suggest you better give up now. Learn something easier first: like Pascal. It's true that Pascal has nearly no use in these days, but it helps you to understand the basic of a programming language. After learning Pascal, you would find learning other programming language much easier. That's why Pascal is always choosen as the 'best programming language for education purpose', and it is why Pascal is still well known nowadays. (but basically, writing a game is not as easy as what you think. If you haven't even learnt a programming language, go for some full course of making a game) If this is not your first time to learn a programming language, then it would be better for you to learn java. Be prepared: I'm not sure if it is a must to learn C++ first before learning java, as what the previous response mentioned, but I'm sure you won't find learning java easier. However, as far as I know, if your target is making a game, java should be more useful.

Hi,if suggest that question I would probably say you should go with Java.In C++ the main thing you get confused is the Pointers. That breaks you into pieces. My suggestion would you get thorough with the OOPS concepts that is get to know about inheritance, polymorphism, constructors, etc and then you study Java. That would be more helpful. In fact I am following this same method.

i suggest u to complete C++ first and then do java... because u cannot do JAVA without knowing C++...that is why they call it as OOPS..so get going with C++ first..its very easy, try to get into the syntax...class, objects, have a good sound with the first two chapters and how to write a C++ program...then try out ur concepts... happy to respond.. happy mylotting..
