Dale Tallon fired - my quasi-forecast came true
July 14, 2009 2:17am CST
Dale Tallon, the Chicago Black Hawks General Manager, is strongly rumoured to be have been fired, to be replaced by Stan Bowman, son of the legendary Scotty Bowman. I believe my quasi-forecast has probably come true. I made the forecast earlier in the week on mylot but the idiot who started the Free Agent discussion likely got banned for being an idiot, causing the discussion to be taken down. It wasn't that great of a forecast as it had been rumoured for some time but right now, I just want to say - there are guys who know hockey and there are those who don't. The good guys don't need to use foul language to get a point across.

I am puzzled.Didn't The Hawks make it to the playoffs for the first time in ages? Wasn't The Gm responsible for getting the talent they had last season? Then why fire the man.Forgive me but this is good news for my Red Wings. Are you sure Scotty isn't trying to sabotage the Hawks? This doesn't make sense.

It's obvious Scotty is plotting behind the scene in Chicago. His son Stan is in there now, so let's face it, Scottie will be calling the shots. Supposedly Tallon made some bonehead non-moves that will cause major cap problems in the future. He didn't send out offers to 8 players causing him to overpay for Versteeg and Barker. Also, Tallon was rumoured to be feuding with McDonough (Wirtz's right-hand man). They say senior management might have had a hand in delaying the mailing of the offers. Kane and Toews' contracts come up next year and will cause major cap problems.
