How to earn from Adsense, need help

I have been trying to get as much information as possible about the online earning and hae found that we can make good amount of money from Adsense but I know nothing about it and how it works? I see many of the mylot members are aware of Adsense. Could you please guide me and share me some tips on how to earn ateast 100 dollars per month. Right now I have accounts in some PTCs and social networking sites but making very less amount as I do not have atleast 1 referral who can join under me, so please do suggest me some sites which do not require much referrals but still we earn with out them.
