I have a question about Mylot posts I know that the number next to the star is the number of post we have made. But something crasy happend to me today and I hope that it is the only time that it happens. I remember from last nite that I had 389 post made and when I loged in today it was also 389 but now it is 381 and I have posted some coments today well I can remember if I posted one or two today. I will like to know if that is posible? Those it hapen regularly? Will I get my post credited back? I just don't know how it might be posible to post on almost ten different discussions that might have been deleted in one day. Please help me understand or is there something I might be able to do.

If you posted seven posts in different discussions that were deleted for any reason, your posts will not be counted. For example, if someone posted a discussion that was against the rules and you responded (whether or not you knew it was against the rules), your post would not count if the entire discussion is deleted for not being allowed. Of course, it is the same way if you posted a discussion that was against the rules. It won't count for you in terms of money and number of posts.

The number that's within the star that comes before your name is your reputation. If you hover your mouse of the star, it will say "Reputation of 90/100" (which is what mine says right now. The higher your reputation, the higher other users have been rating your posts. To get a higher reputation (I believe you also can get more earnings by having a higher reputation), make sure your posts contribute to the discussion, actually have to do with the discussion, you don't name call if you don't agree with another's post, don't break myLot's membership rules in your post, etc. Basically, higher reputations mean higher quality posts. :)

When myLot takes it away, there's a little chance of getting it back. One reason I can think of is that maybe you commented on discussions that got deleted, which means that when the discussion got deleted, your posts in it got deleted, too. So no credits for you in there. It does not happen regularly, don't worry. Just when discussions get deleted at the discretion of the myLot admin.

they usually don't send a message. they just delete it and you'll just be surprised of a decrease in earnings and post count . but of course, myLot NEVER deletes discussions on a whim. they make judgments based on what is clearly stated in the FAQs.

I don't think anyh of my discussion got deleted but do you know if mylot will contact you if they do? and do they take it of your list of discussions posted?

Well I don't know if same thing happens to me or not, but my rating went down today, I started on 8 stars, then up to 9, and went down again to 8 this morning. I don't notice the number of posts before, so I don't know if it is affected my rating or not. I also wonder, is it our posts which affect my rating or the positive negative sign in my posts? As in your case I think myLot admin does reduce our posts due to only posts few lines or not post a quality post. Maybe this is what happened to you.

I don't know mutch but I think that if we lose some of our posts our rathing for the star do become lower and also if we get many - negative rates to our discussions or coments. I am not sure about posting a few lines or a bad quality post but I do try to be clear on my post and it has been more than two or three lines of post that I do well not all the time but most of it. Happy mylotting

Well I have had that problem before.. Its from responding to a discussion that was deleted.. If you see a discussion that looks like it may be deleted and you decide to respond to it anyways.. there is a possibility that you will not receive credit meaning your number and no pay.. Mylot is huge so there rules have to be cut and dry! If they would make an exception to the rules for you they would have to do that for everyone.. and or the counter made a mistake.. giving you credit for a discussion more then once... that is also possible..

Yes.. That is the one thing that I am finding on here.. There are some discussion that automatically get deleted, and then there are some that are deleted later.. I believe it is once a month, when mylot sits there and goes through the discussions. And that is why some of them are not deleted right way.. If some one hits the "!" that will inform mylot of the discussion.. but not all of them get reported.. I just do not do anything to those discussion, but sit there and read what other people have said..

Yes I know and you are right but the only thing that surprices me is that it would be around 10 bad post that I don't think I did. But then again they might of just had the chance to go true all the de discussions to see which ones are good. But I just hope that this wont happen to me again and if it is an error that they fix it. Well thank you for your coment and I guess I also have to be verry careful were I post.

Hi doinkyroinky I thnk that it those add up but the only bad thing is that there is no sure way to know if some discussions might get deleted. There are some discussions that are ovious that they are getting deleted but there are also some that are not. Good luck hope this never happens to you.

desteny114, As a new member here, I would advise that you get yourself familiarized with the Terms of Service especially where it mentions about the types of discussions which are being regarded as unacceptable. This will let you be wary of not getting your discussion response or comments deleted, thus affecting your earnings. It is just possible that your post(s) have been deleted along with the whole discussion you have posted. The next reason, I can think of would be system lag, where posts are not being counted in actual real respond time. Again, I can assure you that this establishment does not short change any members' efforts as long as they are not infringing any rules. Whatever you have posted, commented or responded will be credited to you in due time. FYI I am speaking from my experiences here so far. Have a nice day.

desteny114, On top of being on the look out for heated and explicit posts, I think you should be aware and able to tell if certain discussions are written much against the rules of this site. They may not be vulgar or unpleasant, however, they can just be disapproved kind of topics. I am just to be of help as I was once like you, a newbie!

Thank you for your discussion you have teached me something new about this site. I did read the terms of service but I have the memory of a dunky but I also try not to coment on discussions that have links and that are beind mean to other. But I guess I do have to go back now and then to re-read the Terms.
