Hi All, I think diabetes is more likely seen in middle-aged people. It is more likely in middle aged people because of stress, food habits, family history and lack of exercise etc.

Hello friend, Lack of exercise and food habits are the main reasons behind diabetes. In modern day lifestyle, one does all the work on a computer, sitting on his chair all the time and then as we don't have much time for having proper meals, we are too reliant on junk food such as pizza, burger and colas. In olden days people did not have any of these troubles because their lifestyles ensured they got proper exercise during the day and proper food.

It would depend on the type of diabetes. Because the Type 1 Diabetes would initiate before the age of 30 which is genetic in nature. This type of Diabetes would usually need insulin injections as form of medication. Type 2 Diabetes occurs mostly in middle aged people and the cause is usually due to diet, sedentary lifestyle, and other factors. This type of diabetes would need a lifetime maintenance of oral hypoglycemic agents. Diabetic patients have the tendency to have poor healing abilities especially in the lower extremities, decreased circulation to vital organs and prone to complications of the heart and lungs. As they say, prevention is better than cure. Don't you think so?
