What family life you prefer? A joint family or a nuclear family?

Gone are the olden days of joint family systems. Now most of us are for nuclear family system. Somehow I still prefer joint-family. A very big family consisting of parents, grand parents, siblings and their spouses and children along with uncles, aunties and their families. WOW what a life it is for me. I just love it. I feel if at all there is heaven on earth, then that is at my place. What is your choice of a family? meapas.

A part of me likes the idea of living with family members even when we have children, but another part knows that my fiance and I would rather like to move out. We won't be moving far though as his parents have already told us that we can move the home behind them, which will be a nice little place to be. We can be near his parents, and they be near us. We already live with his parents now, so I am adjusted to their lifestyle and how they feel about certain things. I think it's a great opportunity to get to know my inlaws before we marry, and they've helped a great deal with planning and paying for our wedding, but that's off topic. What I want to say is there are a lot of benefits to living in a joint family but you can also live apart but close, so that you can still share the knowledge, fun and happiness thqt spending time with family can ellicit.

How lucky you are to have such loving inlaws who are very concerned about your welfare. Hope you enjoy their warmth to the fullest and make them proud of you. If not physically atleast mentally be with all your loved ones all the time. Thanks for your response. meapas.

I hope to make everyone proud of me, but inlaws may be a bit more different or difficult! lol! You know people say a lot about in laws, some good, some bad, but besides the mild irritation from time to time, I have only good things to say about mine. I appreciate your comment back to me.

hi guys i am very lucky to share my things with u ...... I think nuclear family is better than joint family..... since a nuclear family is wise enough to tolerate all the problems... In joint family we have to face many problems... In a nuclear family we will enjoy with our children and spouses...... but there we cant....so i love the nuclear family than joint family....

I love big families too... but i would want to see my side if the family for the most part. my boyfriend has a rather unpleasant family relationships within his family, so from his side about the only person i wouldn't mind seeing every day is his sister. his parents have too many issues that i wouldn't want them to expose my future kids to...

my future inlaws love me, but they have a rather strange way of raising kids, like leaving them with their uncle who they knew perfectly well was known to molest children... somehow i wouldn't trust them to stay with my kids after that, not too responsible...
