Jains out here.?? keeping fast for 4 months..??

hi all.. well, we jains have a 4month period in which our gurus stay a at given place for 4 months..there they preach the neighbouring people about Non-violence and Love for all along with the Jain scriptures..!!! most jains, the HAVE DINNER BEFORE SUNSET and TRY TO VISIT GURUS ON DAILY BASIS..this is called CHAUMASA ( CHAU - FOUR , MASA- MONTHS)... its during the rainy season here, so that THEY DONT STEP ON SMALL CREATURES TOO..!! they teach praying and many things to the jains and non-jains alike..!!!

hi, drdivu, i dont know more about Jains ,it is first time i heard Jains. i am christian, we preach love and gospel. of course ,we keep respect to each other.

its a caste among the hindus..!! they dont eat onions or even garlic along with NO NON-VEG..!!! well, all religions preach the same - LOVE AND RESPECT, including this..!!
