How do I get more views to my blog?

I am totally stuck with ways to get people to my blog. Its a blog about relationships. Things you might encounter and just general advice. I don't know how to get people to view it. Anyone know sites I can go to? Anybody hear have a really succesful blog and can tell me what they initially did to get it off the ground? This is my first blog and I'm stuck. Please give me some advice.

You should check out the free tools entry on my blog, it's 1/2 about getting traffic, half about making money with your blog.

You could ask people to comment on your blog. That should interest them to visit your blog and if they like it they can keep coming back.
