Who do you think is going to make a push in the 2nd half of the season to make it to the playoffs and win it all? Will the Yankees take control of the division by edging the Red Sox? Will the Mets finally get by the Phillies and into the playoffs. Let me know who you think is going to make that final push as we approach the final stretch of the season!

I'd have to say the phillies are making a statement, on their way to winning 9 in a row. I think the Al East will finish strong with a dog fight between boston and yankees. Don't know What the Dodgers will do after winning their division, I don't think that division is too strong this year.

I agree with you, I dont think the Dodgers will do much in the playoffs. Im also keeping my eye on Tampa Bay to see if they make one good push to try to take the wild card. It should be interesting.

I'm thinking the wild card in the A.L. will go to either Sox or Yankees, I do hope Tampa bay makes a run though, makes for good baseball.

As far as the Yankees and Red Sox are concerned, I think the Yankees will win the division because they have the more talented team. They have several stars on their team who haven't even performed up to capability(CC Sabaithia), yet they still lead the division by 4.5 games. However, it doesn't really matter who wins the division, because the " loser" of the two will likely make the playoffs via the wildcard.

Thank you for responding, the Yankees are looking great and they just won again today. We also need to watch out for Texas as they can take the wildcard spot from Boston.

i think boston is going to get the american league. i'm looking for tampa bay to take second away from the yanks (WHAT!!) yes,and possibly get the wild card. i think the national league will most likely stay the same. the NL central is full of good teams though, even cincinnati is good dispite their record, they have just been unlucky with injuries. that's the real division to be watching. look for the wild card to come from that division.

The American League East is a very tight race. I am a Yankee fan so I dont want to see the Red Sox taek it, but I am looking forward to this race for the rest of the season. It is going down to the wire.

I think that this years al east division is going to be so tight and I dont think anyone knows how that will end. But I think if the yankees get roy halladay I have no idea how they can lose. All they need is pitching to win it all, and if they get that noone can stop them. So they will push past the red sox this year if they can get some pitching. Cc sabathia usually turns it on in the second half too. So I think they are almost set to go to the alcs.

I agree that it is going to be a tight race. the Yankees have a chance even without roy halladay, I think. They have the most potent offense in the majors right now. I think they can take it with their pitchinjust stepping it up.

Giants all the way!! We got Sanchez and Garko last week. OK maybe not win it ALL. But I'm betting they will get the NL Wild Card this year.

They have a good chance of taking the wild card, especially winning 8 out of the last 10. It should be an exciting wild car race.
