It's A Lot Of Blue For A Little Green.

Canada

the new Tim Horton's commercial is making me wonder. Tim Horton's coffee and donuts are as Canadian as maple syrup!! I know there are a few in the States, but Tim's is still 99% Canadian, and "Canadian by birth" so to speak. Anyway, tonight on a commercial for some new blueberry product, they said that "it is a lot of blue for a little green." What the heck? Canadian money isn't green... My American husband noticed that, and laughed his head off. Anyone else wondering about the new Tim Horton's commercial?

I live in Western NY and we have had a Tim Hortons for years! I was surprised to hear on the EArly Show that it was new in NYCity! I thought that Timmy Ho's was already all over the US. Do you call it Timmy Ho's in Canada too?

No we just call it Timmies....I'm in Western NY as well and we have one in Albion for the past couple yrs but like I said in my post its NOT the same as Canadian Timmies on many levels...its a shame for those of us who miss and love our Canadian Tim Hortons because we feel so ripped off LOL

I guess next time I go to Canada I have to seek out a Tim Hortons to see the difference. I like it now, so if it is even better that would be great.

I don't think it is about money. Everybody wants to be "green"....speaking of environment, so people from marketing want to refer to everything as "green" product...including food... Blue is for blueberry, green for environment....I guess...

LOL I think using that expression is just easier and more effective than saying a lot of blue for a little silver (toonies) or whatever LOL yea there are timmies here in the U.S we have one in a small town near me and another opening up in another small town near me and let me tell you..U.S Timmies SUCKS! It DOES NOT taste the same, service isnt nearly as good and its just not dont Canadian style as it should be

I haven't seen it. We do have Tim Horton's here though. But, ya know American money is barely green now LOL I'll have to look for it the next time I have the television on.

I haven't seen the commercial because I don't watch much TV & what I do watch is usually on the DVR & I skip over the commercials. We have a Tim Horton's close to my house. I've only been there a few times because they are so expensive. Their donuts are just ok. I do like their bagels & cream cheese. Their bagels seem to be fluffier than the ones you buy at the store. I do like their bread bowls & soup. It never occured to me that Tim Horton's in Canada would be better since that is where they are from. I'll have to check that out next summer when I'm in Canada visiting the DanishCanadian!! :)
