Now that i am an 8 starrer, will it help me earn more in my lot????

Hi my fellow my lotters,
I just reached my star today and i am glad that i am an 8 starrer.
However i have a small question.Now that i am a star person will every post that i post earn me more cash???
will i get something more for my effort i put in at my lot now??
If not? whats the point of this star???
Do let me and all the new my lotters know about this, from your experience so that they can also be motivated to reach a star!

I just read the other responses and sadly no-one was correct 
The star is the result of the positive and negative +/- ratings that other users give you for your discussions, responses and comments. The more you get positive ratings the higher your star will be.
It DOES affect your earnings.
We are told in the FAQS:
'The DRS (Discussion Rating System) is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community.'

this is actually information i was wondering myself. I'm currently have an 8 star rating as well and im hoping to get to a 10 soon and knowing that i can earn more at that level is very good to know. Glad this conversation showed up!

Congratulations! I hope I can also earn my star soon. Based on my stats, I am 20 relevant posts away from it. Anyway, I also want to ask the same question but most say that it is still how relevant your discussions or responses are that really counts when it comes to earnings. I'm not sure though. I hope Senior mylotters can drop by in this discussion. :)

Congratulations on getting the star.The star denotes your quality of posts and it does not have anything to do with earnings but you can say that it is indirectly related to earnings because the quality post can fetch you more cents and it also increases your reputation and rank.

Hello pri2sh,
When you reach a 100 posts you will get a star and depending on the quality of your posts you will get a number for that star.
You are just 28 posts away from getting a star so keep going!

i've been here a long time,and i really don't know if it affects your earnings on way or another.i think it's more for a "trusted member" thing at a glance.

Hello,
You will not get any different with your star on. It is just letting you know how well you did so far and it will go up or down depend on how you put in your discussion and respond.

The only place where we can find the correct answers is in the FAQs. Almost everything is there

I am glad that someone has found the answer to the stars. They have always been a mystery to me, I had looked in FAQ´s and TOS but somehow the answer must have slipped by. My star recently went up to an 8 and I must be totally honest that I don´t see any difference in my earnings. It must be a very small increase in earnings. However it would be really nice to have a number 10 star! We all like to think that we do well!

No! The star rating doesn't affect anything about your earning. Remember that you earn for the contents of your post, not your rating. I have experienced having low and high ratings but it doesn't affect my earning. It's still the same.

Can I chip in? As I don't want to start another discussion because my question is pretty much the same. So the star, it came from other mylotters' rating. what's with the different colour then (hehehe, I think I sound stupid).

Yeah ,
i sure do not see any difference and it's almost been a week since i got my star!!!

Hello gamesurfer,
If I am not mistaken, once you reached your 100th post, you can see your star rating next to your user name. It won't make you earn more based on your star rating. It shows how well you are being accepted by mylot community. That is the point of having plus, minus and neutral sign here at each of your discussion, response and comment.
