Why Cricketers feel test cricket is best cricket

A player is not being called as a complete cricketer if he is not being able to play test cricket. That's why many players have become legends because of their ability to concentrate hard for a long time and survive. Also, it tests the mental application of the players, since how long they can play to their potential and how one can outwit the others over the five day game. It is like a see-saw where any day any team can go and take the lead from the other. So, to become a complete cricketer, a player has to play test cricket, so that he can apply himself to all sorts of situations possible in a match through the five day game and strengthen his weaknesses!!

I do not think there is any controversy regarding the fact that most cricketers think test cricket is the ultimate test in cricket. Any cricket player has the ambition to represent his country in test matches and that is the goal one strives to achieve. Although times are changing and the audiences are more in favor of t20 cricket if you ask any cricket then he would say test cricket is the most important form of cricket for a cricket player. I like all forms of cricket but it certainly feels good to watch the team win a test series than a one day series.

As long as the forms of cricket are considered the test cricket is the pinnacle of cricket as it demands the most from a player during the 5 day process. The test cricket gives the opportunity for the players to prove their fitness and finesse of their skills.

Test cricket, no second thoughts about it. The only form of cricket, where everything is tested - batting, fielding, bowling, tactics, captaincy and everything. And of course, sometimes our patience as well. :D While limited overs cricket is just slogging around and get maximum runs, where there's nothing much except to score and restrict runs. And nowadays its interesting too see tests are too very exciting and unpredictable. Test is class. Period.

All good cricketers will say that test matches are the best. All the greats fron the game have done well in test matches. Test matches are a test of skill, ability, temprement, adaptability and many other things. Test cricket seperates a very good player from a great player.

Test cricket is the real test of quality and talent.. In one day and 20-20 you can have few gud days even when you are not a world class player THERE IS NO FLUKES IN TEST CRICKET
