giving advice to other people

Everybody has a problem or two. Why is it so easy for us to give advice for other people? Everytime somebody tell or share their problem, we always have a solution or advice for them. But when it comes to our own problem, we can't seem to give advice to ourselves then turn to friends or family or even go to a counseling session to get fix. Why is that so??

I believe because we become emotional about our problems and it is something we can't deal with for the moment. Sometimes it is because we know the solution and don't want to do it that way and are hoping for a loophole somewhere. It is part of being human I think

Too emotional to think how to solve our problem, maybe there's a truth in that. Thank you ShellyB.

Hello. Giving an advice is very easy to everyone. First you are not on that situation that's why you can think openly and wide. Second your emotion doesnt affects your thinking. Actually the person who gave the advice doesnt always mean they're right because they didnt totally know all the things your going through or experiencing. For me the best solution comes from the one who has a problem because he knows all the details.
