What can I do to keep my pomeranian from digging?

I have 2 dogs, a bichon and a pomeranian. The pomeranian does a lot of digging, and there are holes all over my backyard. I keep filling them in, and she digs them back out. I have trouble with sprained ankles so I can't walk out there or I will aggraveate them. Anyway, I have benn todl to put poop in the hole and they will stop digging. I tried that, and she still digs. I don't know what to do besides that, as I am at my wits end. I don't know what she is looking for, but she has deep holes in the backyard. I know if I cover them up, she will just dig them up again. Has anyoune out there encountered this, and if so, what did you do to stop the digging? I will be waiting for your answers. Have a very good day, and happy myloting.
