Dear friends
I want to by a laptop. I have seen laptops of diffenent companys but I am very much confused to select my laptop and also which one is suited for me.
My plan is buy a laptop within a range of 35000.00. I am interested to work in 3d graphics software like 3ds Max, Poser, Vue7, Director 11.5 etc.
Can anyone help me? Which computer is best for me? Is my budget is sufficient or not?
Pl help me.......

Hi, friend. The kind of work you mentioned is best suited on HP laptops. They are well known for their graphics performance. But, good HP laptops will not fit in your budget. I bought my HP Pavillion dv 2701 tx special edition for Rs 45000.
Dell Inspiron costs around 39000, it is also high on graphics performance. You can also try Toshiba or HP Compaq.

HP and Compaq are the same company now and the leaders. You can get by with a $600 computer but not a laptop, they are too small for what you want to do, You need good RAM at least 2 gig and 500 gig HD with a decent graphics card and draw pad for easy hand drawing. I am running 500 megs of ram and 190gigs HD and I have no problems with all my graphics programs. A lap top would use too much ram and slow down the machine, besides using too much juice from the battery and running time will cut you short, even with a charger you would have Lot's of problems with it locking up. And you say your budget is $39,000? if you want to spend that kind of money stay away from unscrupulous salesmen selling from the back of a van. You meant $3900.00 I hope.
