We have Two Ears and One mouth..there is a reason behind this..

We have two ears and one mouth there is an obvious reason behind this, if we all listened as much as we spoke then we would learn alot mor about others and of oursevles. our lives are filled with fast pace living and many of us do not take the opportunity to sit just with ourseklves and just listen...just be with yourself. i know many will find it hard to have any time to themselves, but for just 5 minutes of the day sit with yourself and ask yourself, how am i feeling? this will help to tune yourself in to your own emotionql being!

Biologically speaking, the reason that we have two ears is to allow us to subconsciously triangulate the location of a sound's source. We not only hear it, but we generally have a pretty good idea of where it's coming from because of this. However, the point that you made is philosophical. I think that listening to others is extremely important. Listening to your own subconscious is most important of all, but very few people take the time to do this. Personally, I use pendulums to get in touch with my subconscious mind.

Guess the good Lord knew what he was doing and that we all needed to listen twice as much as we talk and when we talk to make what we say count cause we only have one mouth for which to do it with!

My teachers used to say that to me all the time! You have bought back memories! I spend about 30 minutes a day just thinking about me and answering any thoughts that I have about anyhting! I write alot down too so my partner understands how I am feeling if I am feeling down he likes to know what is wrong so he knows the right path to hekp me and I find its easier to write than to say as I get tongue tied and dont know what to say! Good discussion... Happy Myotting!!

yes, you are a lucky one who can appreciate that yes it does work! i have met many many people who are caught up in the fast pace that life takes tham and barely have time to think and function like a human being more like a robot! and it is an invaluable tool that we all posess but fail to utlise to its full potential! i too try to listen more to myself and i have found that it then allows me too listen to others more, in turn i can naturally respond with my emotions and use my empathy to help other with dilemmas etc!!!!

I totally agree with you. When we are talking with each other we need to listen more. We might learn something and realize that our opinion isn't the only one that matters.

thankyou! i think if we do listen more we will have a greater understanding of one another..which in turn brings honesty..i feel we lack that in the world today! :0)

I try to start meditating every day, it supposed to help understand your body and mind better. unfortunately sometimes when i sit down at least one of my cats would come over and ask for a hug...

And both of our ears are already open ready to hear anything that has been said. Our mouth is designed to be closed we are just given the freedom when to open it.
