Do you understand the Bible?

As I pray and Holy Spirit guides me, He gives me wisdom and enlightenment to understand the bible. God's Word is truly marvelous and powerful as it can search the depths of my heart and reveal it. Sometimes I even cry when I read and meditate what Jesus has done for me and for mankind, how He has loved me and continues to love me though I'm a sinner, He forgave me.

I honestly am very confused by it,as I have seen so many religions take one part out of it basing their beliefs on just that.I also have found no proof to back it up! I respect what, and how much it does for others. As some have changed /reformed and have become very good people from it.Also for some without these words,they would be lost.I feel it is the widest read fiction novel in the world. But people think this of my beliefs and disbelieving too..So more power to those who utilize it as a way of living a good life.

Hi there Shirley!Ü Bible is the word of God. And sometimes it really is hard to understand. Thanks to my Alma Mater, i was taught very well by my mentors on how to read It. I am not saying that i easily understand reading it but i have a very wide view on the stories or the main idea of the Bible. Sometimes i go to our church to help me comprehend the chapters and verses that i am reading. But if you are going to think about it, the Bible has only few chapters unlike Harry Potter or even twilight and yet people prefers reading them.
