Is height matters in applying a job?

Im just 5 feet in height. I try to apply for a job but it is wasnt successful you think it is because of the height? Is height sometimes a basis in employment?

Few jobs specify a particular height. I know cabin crew for airlines have to be over a certain height. That might be so they can reach all the overhead baggage compartment. They would have to be weight in proportion and very healthy. In most other jobs the employees are likely to be all different heights.
