please comment on the above topic. I am of the opinion that LINUX is much better than windows but many are gonna contradict this. but i stay firmly to this because of many reasons which i found with my 6 years of expericne as a student. the platform of linux is a dream paradise for developers and innovators in the field of computer science. Linux offers much more security than windows machines and it matters a lot when it comes to corporate servers and machines. User interface is the only big thing that is keeping the majority users away from LINUX.

Windows is better than linux. It takes time for me to set up my pc in my office when I start dialing. My God, I am not so familiar with the settings.

People say Linux isn't user friendly.. But I don't agree fully.. I feel Ubuntu Linux friendly enuf for any user to get used to Its just that People are reluctant to a change..The are lazy.. and can't take the burden of having to learn another OS.. Once you learn Linux, there is no going back!

ya UBUNTU is doing a very good job. their interface is much pretty easy and can understand esy. but when it comes to Redhat , the interface is quite hard. hard in the sense, not that easy for newbies in linux. but once you get into that stream ,therz is no looking back.

User interface is not the only thing keeping people away from linux. There are a lot of issues. Linux has the tendencies to crash even more than windows. While I enjoy linux there are also things that make me wish for window vista...:( [I hate windows] Linux, is however a very powerful O.S, but it's just not ready to be popular because there are incredible amounts of flaws. And I need not get comments from any one telling me that I don't know any thing, because I'm on a linux system as we speak. I luv Linux, and despise it at the same time. But I think that once there are more flash accessibilities and more powerful 3D animation tools added to Ubuntu, then I will be A-Okay.
