KARMA- HINDUISM had their own meaning for this word.Other beliefs and religions had other meanings too. In my beliefs Karma-is the result of what you have done to others " don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you"...then,do good to other people and you will gain good things too. While FATE- is an event, events in our life. And it does needs intelligence,we are always the master of our fate.God has given us freewill to do what we wanted to do,God is there to guide us when we need His guidance, but the final decission still lies in us.

Yesm jaiho you are right. IF we do good to others good will happen to us in the coming births. Fate is destined- as per the previous births the life of this birth has been already decided-destined.

In India we believe in rebirths. But we can't simply be idle hoping fate will take us to where it had to take. No, we will work hard, we will travel this journey of this birth with as many good acts as possible and avoid as many bad acts as possible.

Hello Ganesh, I repsect your views about rebirths my friend,i know we can't debate on this matter and i can't changed your opinion in just a matter of one explaination. But i want to give you one insight regarding this, why until now Cleopatra and other famous personalities haven't reincarnated till this time? This is just a friendly discussion, nothing personal

Fate is to say that everything in your life is predetermined. That your life has been mapped out before you were even born. Say, before you were born, it was decided that you would live in a certain place, have a certain job, have a wife or not. Fate is something that you can't change. It's inevitable. Karma is like, if you do something bad, something bad will come back to you. If you believe in karma, you believe that the things you do have consequences. You believe that if you do a good deed, a good deed will come back to you.

People with high intelligence no doubt believe that they can create their won destiny. And, on the face of it, no doubt it seems that way. But we all, regardless of intelligence, make decisions that determine our path. So who is to say if we actually changed anything that was our fate. The true definition of fate is that we will arrive where we are suppose to no matter what we do. We can all look back and see many times that we had two ways we could have gone. We chose one path. At times, in retrospect, it seems to have been wrong. Other times it seems we made the right one. Depends upon our perspective. Here is one persons explaination of what the difference is between Karma and Fate. http://www.purifymind.com/KarmaFate.htm

Don't worry about the double entry of your post. Fate is what already decided. Your life is destined when you are born. Karma on the other hand , the actions(karma) you do in this birth would be carried on to your next births, whether good or bad.

Karma is something that comes from within you. Fate is what is coming to you good or bad ,just like Karma I guess its all what you make of it in the end.

Karma - (Hinduism and Buddhism) the effects of a person's actions that determine his destiny in his next incarnation. Fate - destiny: an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future.

What is the difference between Karma and Fate........... Karma is what comes back to us if we've been doing bad deeds to other people. Fate is what's destined to happen, it's something that we have no control over as human beings. Yes, I do believe in Fate. But I don't believe that we can change it through our intelligence. for example, I am destined to go and get some sleep right now. I could try to change my fate by staying awake all night but I'm not going to try to change it because sleep is what I really want right now. If I"m lucky my life will change tomorrow. Thereby affecting my future. Wish me luck with my new job training everybody Good nite all! Happy mylot!

Fate is the consequence of doing or not doing. Karma is the consequences of doing it. The act is the result of thinking. I believe with my fate. I believe that fate can be changed with the intelligence. God will not change your fate, but by your own.

Yes, I do believe that you can change your fate to some extent with your intelligence. That is why refer to astrology and try to find some remedies if required. A good positive name, a positive energy filled house and work place, gemstones and above all faith in God can change the fate to some extent.

Karma is what you earn...by good deeds or bad deeds. Sort of like the Biblical saying, you reap what you sow. Fate is something you have no control over. Can you change your fate? According to most thinkers...no. That is why I do not subscribe to that philosophy.
