Hello my fellow myLotters, out of curiosity.... If you can choose, would you like to be a man or a woman and why??? I have been pondering about this question quite often and until now I still cannot make up my mind to choose to be a man or a woman. In my personal opinion, I think that there are equal advantages of being a man or a woman. I like being a woman but I also like to experience being a man as well. That is why I would like to hear from you guys about your views on the topic. Cheers=))

woman power - powerful women
Hi there thhoon!Ü I am happy being a woman. I get to express myself very well. I also love being loved by my man all the courting, giving gifts stuff. What i love in being a woman is because i am able to conceive my baby. Being a woman has lots of advantages! check this out: * The flip side of a woman's being less likely to have a spouse devoted full-time to supporting her career is that she is more likely to have a spouse who earns money. A female engineer told me how her husband's income allowed her to quit a job she hated and spend three months looking for one that she loved. * Although males outperform females in mathematical ability, females outperform males in verbal ability. In the academic world of ``publish or perish,'' being able to write clearly and properly is a large plus.* If people are more likely to help members of the same gender, and if women are currently raised to be more sensitive than men, women will get tremendous support from their same-gender peers. (I have found my female colleagues extremely supportive.) * It is not entirely disadvantageous that girls tend to be taught how to cook and keep house instead of how to fix bicycles. Being able to cook for oneself at college is healthier and cheaper than having to rely on cafeterias or junk food. * While all women are to some extent penalized out of the suspicion that they will take time off their career to have children, they have more freedom to do so than men. A woman's career can be salvaged if she takes time off to spend with her young children, but a man would be considered insanely irresponsible. * Ingenuity can transform other disadvantages into advantages, as explained in Betty Lehan Harragan's wonderful Games Mother Never Taught You. For example, she points out that, while women hate being constantly in the spotlight, men ``fantasize about how well they could exploit such a favorable situation.... Today's pioneer women can begin taking command of situations by merely accepting their unique position in the spotlight'' [Harragan 1987, page 311,]. Most important, with a positive attitude, women can make the most of their situation. The successful female computer scientists I know do not say, ``I could have gone further if I were a man.'' They say, ``I had to work a lot harder than a man to get where I am.'' Although the two statements may be equivalent, self-assuredness is psychologically more useful than self-pity. Additionally, even women who have been discouraged sometimes succeed out of spite.

Hello there, you have just proven the one ability of woman by writing this detailed response to my topic which earn you the best response to my topic. I think a man won't be so expressive and will not have the patient to write out what they think in words. Thanks for your response, dear =))

Be happy with what God has made you. You are a woman and God has chosen you to be the mother, a highest place in a human beings life. Father may or may not love his child, but a mother will give her life for her child. meapas.

Oh yes, he is very involved in looking after our daughters all the way since they were born till now. He is always the one to bring them out for outdoor activities in the evening or weekends like a walk in the park, to cycle, do some gardening, to fly kites, etc etc....

Oh yes, I am happy being a woman and also enjoy being a mother and wife. I always tell my hubby how good it felt to be able to carry our daughters in my belly, to feel them move in my belly and to have them suckle for milk. I cannot describe how wonderful that feeling is. He is indeed very jealous about it. ...hahaha.... Cheers =))

i'd choose what i am now. i never want to take the spotlight but i'm driven in anything i do. we all know that no matter how hard a woman tries in this world, especially in the corporate world, she's most of the time play second only to men. however, i have deep respect and admiration for women who made it in their chosen fields and who also manage to take care of a family. no amount of striving on the part of a man can ever take the place of a woman in a family.

Well said!!! As a working mother previously, it was indeed very stressful and tiring to juggle work and home. In 2008, I volunteered for retrenchment in my company. I made a major decision to sacrify my career and work part-time so that I can spend more time with my daughters and family. Many of my ex-colleagues were very surprised as I was quite a high-flyer in my company back then. But now, I really enjoy spending the extra times with my daughters and family. Although, we got to tighten our belts a bit, I never regretted my decision.
