Joining up on various money-making forums that allow free promotion? That's always an idea. Establishing yourself in communities and then within those communities promoting. If you establish yourself in a community you'll have much more likely of success then just popping in and dropping a link. Myspace? Facebook? Social networking sites? That's always a thought. What about refering people you know in real life? Or online buddies? Or anyone really. I'm sure there are plenty of others but those are just a few I thought of off the top of my head.
