Is work-online.org.uk legit?

I've heard of it very recently I was just hoping someone can confirm it's legitimacy. Although, i'm not entierly sure i'll be sticking with it. For their first 100 stories they claim they will pay £50. UK£ 50 = 82.31500 U.S. dollars(according to google.) $0.82 for 350 words? Is it really worth it? Depends how easy they accept & other things. Like. Can someone answer me this. I could have swore I saw a referral link somewhere around here, and if so. What do they pay if you refer people to the website? Information about this sites legitimacy, a payment proof, and whether they pay for referrals or not i'm curious about. Feel free to help inform me! Oh, and other things I might need to know before considering joining might be helpful.

Hi LouisWpHs04, I joined Work-Online about a month ago, partly to see if they did indeed pay, and yes they do. I've been paid once and will be requesting another payout soon. The mylot discussion the member above me pointed you to is Virtualmirage's. She's done really well with the site and has been paid a few times. I don't usually go for low payout gigs, but I found writing the stories soooo easy, plus there was absolutely no research involved. They give you a set of keywords and you write around them. Can be fictional, non-fictional - up to you. Takes me about 15-25 mins per story. Plus I use it to warm my brain up for other stuff I need to do. For me, and for those reasons, it's worth it. Referrals: for every approved story your referral writes, you get 10% (for the first 100 stories only). Only 5 pence per story, but believe me, it adds up. For my 2nd payout, a very significant chunk of it has been from referrals. The one downside is that Work-Online doesn't display your list of referrals; however, by looking at your figures, you can tell when your referrals are working. To read more about Work-Online, you can visit Virtual Mirage's blog as she writes about her progress over there. I've also written a detailed review of the site on my blog (along with proof of payment). take care...

Well that's nice to know. If you want to you can stop by our website where we allow people to post up proofs of payment along with their referral links or codes if they want to for free, as well as free website/blog promotion. Just thought it might be something of interest to you. You could then earn even more off off referrals as the site grows and it's not too complicated to join. Thanks for the information by the way, i'm thinking I might mark you as best response but I was going to see if I got any more responses.

Hi LouisWpHs04, I've passed by your site and I plan to again as I like the concept. However, I'd rather leave the opportunity to gain from Work-Online referrals to you. When I pass by another program I believe in and that I'd like to promote, I'll definitely be passing by your site. take care now...

I joined that site last Sunday and then it was write a story of 350 words or over or 50 pence. I got that for the first two stories I wrote for them. Then they changed to to write a story of over 400 words for 25 pence. I have now written 27 stories for them and they have accepted 20 of them. I hope they will accept the 7 stories that are awaiting moderation. I hope it will pay me 10 pounds when I do reach that minimum payout. I will let you know if you like.

You could if you would like. I've seen quite a few payment proofs from the site though so i'm pretty confident that when the time comes i'll get my payment. I don't like that they lowered their pay rates, though(Or will be soon?). I'm not sure if they have, yet.

Yes, they have lowered down the paying rates due to overwhelming responses. I managed to get a few stories accepted for 50p each and the balance are only 25p. I know one of our fellow myLotters who is very active and she has posted her proof of payment in her blog from this site. In fact she is one of the top writers! I am looking forward to my first payment, and hopefully, it will be by the end of this week.

Hi, This site is really good. I have joined 3 days before and submitted 7 stories and got 3.5pounds. It is very easy to write2 stories in the site. However the site is under maintenance now and will take 3-4 days to come back. Hope this site will last for some time.

I read a post here yesterday from a member who said that he/she got paid from that but I can't find that now. I am not a member in that site because it is hard for me to write a story of 350 words for only 0.50p as english is not my native language but I see that you are a USA citizen and maybe it is worth for you. I will try find that post.

I had 3 stories after about 2 hrs of labour. They passed two of them within 3 hours, and my account is accredited to £1. I think it is too easy. Thats why I want to clarify about the site. They say that they pay 10% of the first hundred earnings of the referrals. That is 5 Pounds only

Hi moribus, Well done on writing the stories and getting the approvals. Are you having doubts because it seems too easy? Work-Online appears legit to me. I've been paid (fairly quickly too - proof of payment's on my blog). Virtualmirage (a mylot member) has been paid a couple of times too - http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2077090.aspx?p=1 For now, I have little reason to think they're not legit. Now, to the referrals. It might be 5 pence per approved story a referral writes (first 100 stories only - £5 referral cut in total), but the more active referrals you can get, the more you'll see the benefits. I've written less stories this month than I did last month, but because of my active referrals, I've actually earned almost double what I earned last month. To increase your chances of getting referrals, it would really help if you used Work-Online from scratch to payout first. 20 stories is a lot to reach the initial payout, but if you were to spread it out over 7-10 days, it then becomes more achievable without becoming a drag. Once you've experienced that, I feel it'll help you promote it better thereby attracting more referrals (who will hopefully remain consistently active). take care...

Think of it this way moribus. You refer let's say 15 people and they're each fairly active. guess what? £5x15= £75. Really not too shabby, 'specially when you convert it into USD if that is your main currency! $123!!! For refering only 15 active people. That really isn't too bad, and probably not too hard either as it's a very original and seemingly fun website.
