What you want or wanted to do with your first salary..

I remember having dreams of getting stuck in a store over night and ended up buying a lot of New clothes and such to where I had New clothes to wear every day and nothing ever again twice. Personally that has always been something I would Love to have happen, but in reality I know it is only a dream. But when I first started working back in the day, I always wanted to buy my own home. That is still a major dream of mine, and one I am hoping is about to come true if we really have sold our Condo as we think we have.

So what did you do with your first salary? Did you go get all the chocolate in the store all at once? ;-) I have thought about it when I was a kid too, I think I ended up giving part of it to my mom, used some to go shopping and spent with my sister and saved some, it was pretty good ;-)

Hello,jimmy 87, I'd like to share mine,,as this saturday I will receive my first salary,,and I don't know what to do with it . I don;t have some thing urgency to buy,and I don' t like eating chocolate as you. and I have plenty of clothes,but I love my parents and sports,so maybe I will buy my parents a gift,and some exercise equipment. Helo Jimmy.I have woven a lot of thoughts by thinking about my first salary,years back.I have always thought of bringing gifts for my brother and parents with my first salary,besides buying for myself great fashionable clothes,scented candles and of course,rich,assorted chocolates.I hope I can do all this.Its a lovely topic by the way.Happy Mylotting.

Hey jimmy,I had a similar thought as you had in childhood.I like to buy chocolate,ice cream,cakes,etc and eat them till I get exhausted.But now this sounds funny. But now I like to start my savings well from the beginning.

My first salary went directly to the bank. It made me feel very accomplished and grown up! hehe.. My 2nd one, well half of it, went to my addiction which is thrift shopping. :-) When I was younger, I always wanted to have a bank account.. something to check.. something that I could watch as it grows.. like having a kid. lulz.

Went straight to my bank savings, I always thought I'd go out and buy lots of things once I got a job. Instead it mostly went into the bank, as savings for university and that . I do buy luxury goods every now and then though, after all, that was my reason for wanting to get a job .

That is a very cute story about you wanting to buy all the chocolates of a shop..Can I have a few please? For me it was always to buy gifts for my mom, dad and elder sister. That is exactly what I did too. I bought a beautiful ring for my sister. I bought clothes for my mom and dad. Rest went into the bank. With the second salary I bought myself a cellphone, and dumped my old one.
