Is there anywat you can block the ip address while downloading?

I just want to know if there is anyway you can block your IP address while downloading? except the use of proxy server, or paying some fee monthly to get them do the service to help block the IP address. I got a mail the other day, my ISP forward an email about me illegally downloading and distributing some videos through bittorrent, and the NBC corporation sent an infringement letter complain about it. I just want to know if there is a way to hide the ip address, so no one can detect the source. Please help.
