If you want to survive the corporate world, you should know how to play politics. For you to work your way up the corporate ladder, simply work on your PR skills,hang-out with your boss or any influential member of top management, pretend to be like them, share their interests, play their sports, and pretend that you know your job very well. I'm pretty sure you will be considered for promotion or assigned to a luxurious project. It doesn't matter if you have a PH.D or a well-experience individual... just play politics. Do you agree with this?

That's actually a tough thing to do. Some people may be able to pull it off for weeks or a few months, but eventually it will exhaust your energies. It is true that office politics exists in practically every company on this planet, but not because it exists, this does not mean one should be eaten by the system. One cannot play and rely mainly on politics because in time, one's capabilities will say if one is competent enough to handle or a particular job or if a person deserves to be promoted, etc.

It is unfortunate that most of the efficient people are forced to come out of their job,due to the prevailing politics in their workplace.Only those people who are unable to do their work well are dominating there and their politics sends the efficient people out.Else they may find difficult to stay there. To avoid this, we should also involve in such politics though it is not a good practice.World is always against the truth and it is running behind the fake people only.
