Sophisticated or down-to-earth-woman.

I have seen where some men state that they would like their future wife to be both sophisticated and down to earth. She should be able to get her hands dirty on one occassion and be all dressed up and sophisticated the next. *Please note the context in which down-to-earth is used here. Now I know some of us ladies would have difficulty making that transition. A down to earth tomboy looks ackward in a dress and heels most times and a sophisticated woman usually feels that certain task is for the helper/gardner ect... If you had to choose which would you be? Would you rather to be suffisticated of down to earth? If you are a guy which would you rather your mate to be? I enjoy being in middle ground here (a bit of both) but if I had to choose I would go for down-to-earth. Its a lot more fun and people get to be themselves more. I like nice clothes and heels so that plus good etiquette would be all I need to compliment being down-to-earth. Sophistication by itself is oh so stiff and boring.

I am a girl.I prefer to be both.there are several occasions in life when I have to be glammed up and sophisticated.there are also days when life is easy and laidback.I consider myself a down-to-earth,sophisticated woman.I can go around town in my slippers,do dirty chores, wear my ugly sweats, and walk sweaty under the sun and I don't mind.I can also go around town in my beautiful black dress, walk like a model in my heels, and eat ladylike in expensive restaurants.I love being flexible and adaptable, really.being able to adapt to times is more fun than being rigid.

It definately is more fun when you can enjoy the best of both worlds without feeling out of place. I hate rigid. It makes me want to scream being around people who just cant seem to enjoy life. Its all about being "proper" for them. Being the way you described yourself makes us appreciate life and its offerings so much more. Give me the middle ground life style any day. i think the sophisticated but down-to-earth types that men want means a woman who is flexible and is aware of the usual things a woman does in the house yet cultured enough to know how to wear a dress. these things are taught at one time or another in all schools. it is only how the students take into heart what had been taught to them .
