Wouldn't you be saying great things about politicians if they were doing great

Would you get them credit where it is due? Do you think that we will ever see the day? No matter what party? What if both parties were doing great things?

Sure, I might, if I knew these same politicians were not doing their best to take down America and its citizens. With all the job losses, home losses and all our indusrtial jobs going over seas, there is NO way in haddes I will be giving any politician credit for doing a 'good job'. You see, they some how forgot WE are paying their over $100,000 salaries...

They have created most of the problems. There can be changes and they can be good. They do have choices and they can stop the waste. It requires everything rolling a different way.

Yes, I definitely would and have. If they do something that is right and moral and good for our country, then credit will be given. However, each of us seem to have different defnitions for what is good, right, and moral.

There is rightous judgement. There is fairness and a right from wrong. If they could just clean out the corruption and start getting things done that help the people. Give back the jobs and stop the wasting, ect. People would give them credit.

We would not be having these discussions that is for sure. I find it hard because so many of my friends have opposite opinions of what the elected officials are doing, or even if they should have been elected.I would certainly hope that whoever we see doing the right thing, we will stop and give them a thumbs up.

I agree. We cannot forget the ones who have done right, who stand up for right. Appreciate the response.

I always believe in giving credit where it is due. I love this country and I do not care which party will save us just as long as someone does before it is too late. I pray every night for the recovery of America caused by the greed of mankind without any thought or compassion for his fellow man.

I'd love to be able to say wonderful things about politicians, but I don't think it's ever going to happen! I come from the UK originally and now live in Spain, and from what I know about the politicians of both countries, I think they are the same the world over. They start off wanting to change the world, and within a short time of getting into office, they think they've done it and start to act like Mr Wonderful. Politicians need to take a reality check and realise that they were elected to serve our best interests and if they don't, we can soon elect someone else in their place, and then the power, the privileged lifestyle and the lavish expenses will be gone. A politician is not born to the position, but many of them act as if they were. Certainly in the UK, some of the politicians are more regal than the Queen. We need some great leaders, in the spirit of Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt, to turn our politics around so that they serve the people instead of the politicians. Then. and only then, will we see great things from our politicians, whatever their party. It's too early to see if Barack Obama is a great leader, but Gordon Brown sure as hell isn't!

We do need great leaders. We need to get them and keep the good ones in. We have to change how we vote and who we vote for. Appreciate the response.
