I just bought an acer laptop in may. Performance wise, its ok.specification wise, just ove it, i've got 3 gb or ram, 320gbof hard disk, with a dui core intel processor, its just awesome. although the spec may be a bit high for an office use laptop. I am satisfied with my laptop. It weight roughly 2kilo, so i can carry it around without getting my shoulder bruised. LOL. other features that i like is the touch sensitive panel to control mediaplayer just next to the keypad. ^_^

that's almost looking like my configuration, the only thing that varies is the hard disk. I don't use it too much so I got just 160GB for now.

Hi mnvamsi, the laptop I use currently is a Toshiba brand device. It's rather light and handy with its 14 inches screen. I can bring it around just by holding it in my hand. I dislike to put it in the laptop case. It's very much lighter without a case. I bought it in August last year when my desktop was stricken by the lightning. It's was sad that its motherboard spoiled at once. It had to take me a month or so to wait for the guarantee one to get replacement. I then purchased this with offer price in a computer fair. My laptop has only one GB hard disk space and one GB ram as well. It's rather sluggish when loading I then boosted its speed by upgrading with an extra 2 GB in ram. Now it's very much faster in speed Happy posting and have a nice day!

I have got my new laptop in May. It is lenovo thinkpad x200, the configuration is Intel duo core, 160GB disk, 3GB memory without DVD ROM. It's very light, 1.5Kilo, this is why I bought. I need take it to go to work in the morning and bring it back after working. Absolutely, its performance is good, I'm satisfied with my decision.

I am using 3 laptops now - IBM Thinkpad R51, IBM Thinkpad T60, and BYON laptop (local brand). IBM Thinkpad T60 used for company purpose which it is Centrino 2 duo, 1 GByte RAM, and 160 GByte Harddisk (running on Windows Xp Professional). Since this is company laptop, I can't install or changed any setting on it. It's reason, I am buying used laptop from ebay - I got IBM Thinkpad R51 with Pentium M, 1 GByte RAM, 60 Gbyte Harddisk (running on Ubuntu 8.04 and Windows Xp Professional). After I got a new software release 9.04 from Ubuntu, I bought a new local brand laptop - BYON (stand for "Build Your Own Notebook" - BYON). So, I can choose some of component to create my own notebook. I build with Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GByte RAM, 80 Gbyte Harddisk - I have created two - dual harddisk with seperate operating system - Ubuntu and windows Xp Professional. I am happy with all of my laptops. But I have notice on minor problem, like : T60 - Recently I face on battery problem (in 2 year normal operation). I buy a new battery. R51 - It's not fast enough on new software. It's very old laptop that I can not expect for more... BYON - It's very hot on body (especially on keyboard) after running less than 30 minutes. I have buy with external wireless keyboard and mouse.
