Will humans ever inhabit the Moon?

So much talk is there among the intellectual society, expecially among space researchers that humans will one day colonize our one and only natural orbiting satellite, the moon. Can this really happen...how real is this? Cheers!

I am optimistic for that, yes. Of course there won't be an atmosphere, but as we can see from the ISS it is possible to survive for years in an artificial air circuit. By the way, in the 1950ies famous science fiction author Isaac Asimov wrote "LUNATICO", which in its third chapter deals with living on the moon. I have enjoyed it very much.
