Wedding ring or college ring would you pawn this special thing?

I badly need a money today. So many bills need to be paid such as electric bill, water bill, internet and phone bill and yearly subscription fee of news paper. I am sick as I don't have a budget. The only thing I could run to is pawnshop. But I am thinking now how. Would I pledge my college ring, I do hesitate. In your experience did you ever encounter the same case?

I might pawn a college ring, but not a wedding ring. Truely speaking I don't like the idea of pawn at all. I also don't like the idea of taking loans, but we have to go for it in case of necessary situations. I would rather borrow the money from a friend or pay it using my credit card. This is my personal opinion.

Go with the college ring.It holds less importance than the wedding ring.I have no personal experience with pawnshops. But we had lend money from banks for interest for business purposes and it is different from approaching pawnshops,I think. How about getting personal loan from your office? Is there any possibility?

I have only my college ring. If you mean it's better to pawn than a wedding ring. I am still a certified single, hmmmmmmm. But your information is important to me. So thank you so much. Here in our place a pawnshop is the easiest to go with during this times. In pawnshop the process is so fast. After checking by the pawnshop in charge or the appraiser (I might be wrong as to right term for this)instant the money would be available.

I would never ever pawn my wedding set. It's too valuable and it means too much to me. A college ring, I might pawn that but it would be hard to do so. I have never had to experience this before. I have needed to pawn things before in order to get cash fast but never has pawning my wedding set crossed my mind.

Hmmmmm that's true I agree with you! Wedding ring is such a precious thing not by it's monetary value but it's significance in one's life. Thanks for sharing your part here.

I dont see nothing wrong with pawning a class ring of some sort. As for a wedding ring I wouldn't. That is the one symbol of love your spouse puts on your finger. My sister and her husband pawned their wedding rings last month to get by and I think it was the stupidest thing they have ever done. Well maybe.

yes i had to pawn off a couple of rings my moms ring that i had for over 40 years and my wedding and engagement ring,it is sad but had to be done.Just be careful and make sure you make payments on time if you want your ring back. i had a bad experience, with the pawn shop i took my things to,we called him to say that we would be a day late in paying him he said that would be fine about two days after we went to make a payment and all our things were gone.the part that made me so made was he sold all three rings for 65.00 and i payed well over 3000 for them and he only gave me a lousy 150 for them.

Sorry to hear that! But at least we are making a little amount here in mylot. And it helps too. I estimate that before fifteenth next coming month - August 2009, I could redeem it back if I pawn my ring tomorrow, hopefully!

I was in that situation and I had to pawn my necklace (no, I don't have any type of ring yet) We managed to cover some bills with that. I think you can pawn the college ring, never the wedding ring. Wedding ring is your promise band. It's like pawning your pledge of marriage. Keep it.
