What do you think of the cancellation charge imposed by cell phone providers? What is the purpose of these charges..when they give you a free phone..really it's not is it..since you are held for 2 years or so to this provider.

I don't really like it as the charges are to excessive. Why they do it I really don't know, but it is probably to keep you right there with them, as it does makes sense. I have paid the charges already, that I didn't like it, but I decided to change companies so I had to pay it. I am happy with the service provider I am with right now, and I will probably stay with them for awhile. I just wish the cell phone companies would drop the cancellation charges, but it probably won't happen anytime soon. They make money off of us that way. so there isn't anything we can do about it. Have a very good day, and happy mylotting.

I agree with you ..that it's the cell phone providers of keeping up right..but really..the cell phones they cell for so much..most of them..are made in third world countries and very little prices .. so the free phone ..really almost was free for them.
