motorcycling is a religion for some freaks like me,for some its just another crap, but when compared to cars its dangerous to travel in motorbikes but the fun you get when you ride a bike is different, its flying an f16.a modernday bike can go from 0-100 in just 2.6 seconds and acheive a top speed of 320 kms/hr,it can beat anything on road, beat the traffic congestion, riding a motorcycle is just awesome

The response about why do we have to wear sear belts in a car but not on a bike? Well why don't school busses have to have seat belts with all those children? I raced Motorcross for 5 years. Its not the bikes that are the danger. Its the rider on them.. as for a street bikes, Its not usually the rider of the bike. Ten to one its the person behind the wheel of the car thats the danger to the bike rider..In alot of states its against the law not to wear a helmet...

Driving motor cycles are quite fun, but has to be driven carefully. The Motorcycle driver has to properly concentrate on his driving and should not forget to wear a helmet. Noise is a desturbing factor. It can be sometimes dangerous because it will cause a large damage to you compared to car accidents. Sometimes the damage is too high that it may cost your life. However motorcycles should not be or cannot be banned because every person has a right to choose the type of vehicle he requires and it is economical.

There is always danger in fun, that doesn't mean it should be avoided! I've always said one day I'm going to learn, I don't think I'm much of a biker though! :P

Big danger, I remember my uncle and aunt were in highschool they are only a few years older then I. and they had this friend who drove a motor cycle. He crashed the motorbike and in the accident he was split in half, and still alive. I remember my aunt and ucle kept going to the hospital to give blood. Later as I went to the same school a few years after. My teacher was telling us about this same guy. He lived for a month, and was cut in half...people kept giving blood which he needed every hour from the loss of blood...the kid was tortoured and it was because he was driving a motor bike. I would never get on one if you paid me.

It depends on what kind of rider you are. A bike is always great fun. I have had amazing times on my bike, but if the type of rider that pushes everything to the extreme, then yes it is great danger.

They can be fun but they are a great danger. My father had a bike for years until he slid on some gravel in the mountains about 4 years ago. He damn near broke everything in his body, he was paralyzed for a year and then still could never walk right. He lived for 2 years after the accident in excruciating pain. He probable wouldn't have ended up this way if he was in his truck.

Car can be dangerous as well... Hell, even walking can be dangerous!!! It just depends on who's driving or riding the bike or walking...

I am a motorcyclist. I do not break speedlimits, I do not take chances, in fact, I am a pretty safe rider. However, car users cut me up, use the excuse they dont see me,(even with the dayglow stuff)and other problems. Motorcycles are not dangerous. It is the people riding them that may be. But then the majority of car users are dangerous. Perhaps we should ban cars and see how the accident rate for motorcycles drop.
